Welcome to Advanced Testing & Engineering!

Specialists in Mechanical Durability and Vibration Testing including:

Catalytic Converter Testing and High Temperature Thermal-Cycling

Hot Gas Burners can simulate engine exhaust temperatures up to 1150°C and maximum flow-rates up to 700 standard cubic feet per minute. Temperatures and flows can be cycled to accelerate thermal-cycling or coupled with water spray/submersion to subject exhaust components to thermal shock testing. Catalytic converter testing, and exhaust component testing to all OEM specifications. Hot Vibration testing on individual heavy duty components or vibration of entire aftertreatment assemblies is easily handled on our slip-tables.

Vibration Testing

Hot Vibration Catalytic Converter TestingSine, random, sine-on-random, or shock – you provide the vibration profile and we’ll execute it. With (9) electro-dynamic shaker systems ranging from 4,500 force-pounds to 20,000 force-pounds and up to 2” stroke, our vibration test lab can handle even the most demanding vibration test. Each vibration shaker can be coupled with a hot/cold/humidity-controlled environmental chamber or a propane burner for hot vibration testing.

Mechanical Strength Testing

With the capability to perform mechanical strength tests exceeding 50,000 lbs and ability to control displacement, our mechanical testing lab can perform ultimate load testing on most vehicle components.

Mechanical Fatigue Testing

Fatigue testing at extreme temperatures with or without humidity provides our customers a way to truly simulate the vehicle environment. From isolators to shock absorbers, ATE is your complete source for fatigue testing needs.

Shock Absorber Testing

Shock absorber durability and shock performance test experts. Numerous multi-shock test rigs each with load monitoring, stroke control, temperature control, and real-time load loss control.

Catalyst Aging

Catalyst Aging – Gasoline AgingAfter ten years of development, gasoline burner-based aging has been correlated to engine/dyno-based aging, providing companies the potential to significantly reduce aging cycle time and cost.

FOCAS® catalyst aging is an alternative approach to engine-based aging that allows us to achieve higher temperatures with better control when compared to an engine-based system. This can accelerate the aging time required and minimize the risk associated with engine-based thermal aging, resulting in reduced lead-time and costs. As we move forward with the development of the our FOCAS catalyst aging system, we continually look for new ways to provide expanded catalyst aging capabilities and versatility to our customers.

The future of catalyst aging is here today.
